Crimsafe – the leading and stylish way to protect your home from intruders and fire

Manly Windows has joined the Crimsafe team as a licensee, trained to install the Crimsafe products.

Crimsafe is a stainless steel security mesh and frame system. It is used to secure doors, windows and outdoor areas from intruders and insects.

While the Crimsafe door and window screens give you excellent security, at the same time they provide superior protection from the harsh Australian climate.

But, the unique patented design of the Crimsafe screens is what sets the product apart in the marketplace. The design is different from any other security screen, both in the way it is attached to the frame and the thickness of the mesh itself.

Screw-clamping creates a more secure hold on the mesh

Crimsafe screens are clamped between two strips of serrated aluminium, contoured to match the face of the mesh, and are attached to the frame using tamper-proof stainless steel screws through the three layers.

To combat the elements, a generous strip of 3m Polymonomer separation tape is laid along the edge of the clamp and the frame. This prevents air and moisture from entering to avoid corrosion.

Because the screws are hardly visible, the Crimsafe door and window screens give you a stylish alternative for superior security.

Specially developed mesh that is 26.5% thicker to prevent cutting

At .9mm thick, Crimsafe's 304 grade Tensile Tuff mesh is 26.5% thicker than other security meshes on the market. And does it make a difference!

The mesh was specifically developed by Crimsafe as an alternative to the .8mm 304 grade mesh that was available. Their experience in the security industry showed that the standard .8mm 304 grade steel was insufficient as a guarantee of keeping out intruders.

Instead, the .9mm 304 grade steel mesh that they developed is significantly more effective against cutting and kicking. And, Crimsafe door and window screens are the only products that use this specially designed mesh. See how the Crimsafe mesh measures up under a “knife shear” test conducted according to Australian Standard AS 5039 – 2003 on the Crimsafe website.

To protect the steel from the elements for a long-lasting and stylish finish, Crimsafe combined with Dulux to produce a high durability coating containing additives to protect the steel, even in coastal areas. Under Salt Spray Testing, which simulates 10 years of environmental exposure, the Crimsafe mesh passed easily.

Expertly installed to last and keep you safe

The Manly Windows installation team are fully trained by Crimsafe to expertly install the Crimsafe door and window screens as part of a larger project, or when you just need to add screens to your home.

Burglars don't have a long time to spend trying to get into your home. They must get in, quickly, quietly, and get out. The Crimsafe screens are just too difficult and strong to penetrate without causing a severe disturbance. So, burglars will give up and move on.
